Portugal is one of the few countries where I’ve travelled across almost every region.
Not in one trip.
Over time.
Moving between cities, coastlines, and quieter places—seeing how each part of the country feels different, and how easily a trip can become too full without realizing it.
It’s a country that looks simple to plan.
Lisbon. Porto. The Algarve.
But once you start adding it together, it becomes something else entirely.
Too many stops.
Too much movement.
Not enough time to actually experience any one place.
Lisbon isn’t just a starting point.
It’s a place that deserves time on its own.
Porto feels completely different—and shouldn’t be rushed through just because it’s “next.”
And places like the Alentejo or smaller towns are where the pace naturally shifts—if you let it.
