The Coach House Airbnb in Prince Edward County
Are you planning a weekend getaway to Prince Edward County and looking for a cheap, but cute Airbnb rental? Let me introduce you to the Coach House Airbnb, a cute, yet affordable rental property just steps from downtown Picton Ontario.
Prince Edward County is the Hottest Destination
The secret is out, everyone is flocking to Prince Edward County PEC for short, or as the locals like to call it, the County. And, why not – with so many wineries, breweries, eateries, boutique shops and galleries, it’s got the attention of many. PEC has quickly become a sought-after destination for a quick getaway as it’s only a couple of hours east of Toronto and a couple of hours west of Ottawa. The popular summer attraction is Sandbanks Provincial Park featuring sandy beaches with the clear turquoise water of Lake Ontario.
But with growing popularity, comes a high demand for accommodation. Prince Edward County is saturated with Airbnb properties. And, a lot come at a steep price per night. But not the Coach House.
The Coach House Airbnb in Prince Edward County
The Coach House is a small Airbnb property that sits adjacent to a century home on a quiet residential street in Picton. Both can be rented, making it a perfect option for large groups to stay in close proximity to each other.
There’s no mistaking The Coach House. This cedar-clad house has been painted in an array of colours and is as cheerful as it looks. The modern, funky aesthetic of the exterior is carried through to its interior too.
There’s a lovely backyard with a private terrace and gardens. It’s the perfect spot to unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. This dog-friendly Airbnb offers enough enclosed green space for your dog to roam.
Inside this cute Airbnb
The Coach House is essentially one large open space. The vaulted ceiling and many windows and skylights make this small space feel light, airy and much larger than it really is. A hallway with a long live edge countertop with stools separates the living space from the tiny kitchen, or really a kitchenette. But with so many great restaurants in the County, you really don’t need anything more than that.
At the back of the property, which might have been a sunroom at some point in time, is the 1-bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The bedroom has a walkout to the terrace and backyard. It’s all the space a couple needs for a 1 or 2-night stay.
The décor is eclectic. It is a mix of contemporary with vintage pieces sourced from local thrift and antique markets. The wood floors have been stripped and feature this cool painted mural of tree branches.
